I started my career in A.P. Moeller-Maersk in 1994 and later moved to J.E. Hyde Shipbrokers, London in 1999 where I became a Managing Partner. When selling the company in 2007 to Icap Plc., I continued in the newly formed Icap Shipping as Managing Director for 3 years.

In 2010 I joined Oldendorff Carriers as Managing Director/Head of S&P and Projects departments as well as member of the Board. After 10 very good years in Oldendorff I established Valhal Shipping GmbH in July 2020.

Kristina Daus-Petersen

My passion for the shipping industry came about through my seafaring father. My second home as a child was onboard the vessels he served on.

As an operator, I have been active since 1995 and have had the great opportunity to work in different countries and with people from many different cultures. My focus is on safety, efficiency and cost and bringing these core components together in a bid to always find the best all-round solutions.

Catherine Lessow

Shipping found me... and I found Shipping amazing.  After having spent many years in different places and industries, away from my homeland Switzerland, my shipping way of life started in 2004 when I joined Oldendorff Carriers. During these 16 years working on the S&P desk close to the management, I have gathered a solid experience in various aspects of transactions. Contracts, details and solution finding is what I like most.
